To Our Parishioners

By virtue of our baptism, each of us has been entrusted with the mission of Jesus - a mission to Proclaim the Gospel (most of all by the way we live), to Sanctify (especially through celebration of the sacraments and prayer), and to Serve (especially the poor in our midst).

We are called to participate in the mission not only directly in what we say and do in our lives each day, but also by the support we give the Church - to our Parish, our Diocese, and to those in need.

I invite you prayerfully to make a decision on your financial stewardship of our Church. Know that I remember all of you in my prayers. Together may we accomplish the mission Christ has entrusted to us.

Online Giving

How much should Catholics give?

Stewards of Treasure joyfully return the first portion of all God has given them. As Catholics, this means that we give a portion of our income to the church in a planned, proportionate, and intentional way. Rather than putting our spare change in the basket or reluctantly giving what is left over after all our other obligations are met, we give the “first fruits” of our income. We support our parish, our diocese, and the universal Church.

Some Catholics commit to tithing. This biblical concept calls for ten percent of all we earn to be returned to the Lord. Parishioners who tithe, typically, give a portion of the tithe amount to the parish, a portion to the diocese (Annual Catholic Appeal, etc.), the Universal Church ( Missions, Peter’s Pence, etc.), and a portion to the charities of their choice.

Many of our parishioners choose the convenience of Online Giving for their contributions to the parish, special collections and the Annual Catholic Appeal. To select this method, click the 'Online Giving' button below.

Tuition Endowment Fund

In April 2009, the parish finance council approved the establishment of the Saint Brigid Parish Tuition Endowment Fund and designated $300,000 from parish savings to start the endowment.  Interest earned from this endowment helps parishioners who need financial assistance in order to send their children to Catholic grade schools and high schools.

The endowment fund is expected to grow through designated gifts from parishioners and through proceeds from fundraising events. You may contribute to the Tuition Endowment Fund through Online Giving, by clicking the 'Donate' button below, or by sending your donation, designated 'Tuition Endowment Fund', to the parish office.
